فدائية فلسطينية صاحبة أشهر عملية اختطاف طائرة في العالم، وكانت قائدة عملية اختطاف طائرة TWA سنة 1969 الأمريكية وعلى متنها 116 راكب اسرائيلي، فأمرت مسئول الطائرة بتغيير مسارها لمطار دمشق ونزلت الركاب وفجرت الطيارة، ولفتت أنظار كل العالم للقضية الفلسطينية.
هى “ليلى خالد” ولدت مدينة حيفا بشمال فلسطين يوم 9 أبريل 1944، كان والدها علي خالد يمتلك مقهى في المدينة،
كانت ليلى السادسة بين إخوتها الخمسة وأخواتها السبع، وأصغرهم أخوها “ناصر” الذي ولد عام 1956، وسمته العائلة على اسم الرئيس المصري السابق “جمال عبد الناصر”.
وهاجرت ليلي مع عائلتها إلى مدينة صور اللبنانية مع بداية النكبة، وعاشت في مخيمات اللجوء وانضمت إلى المقاومة فى سن مبكرة.
نفذت ليلي خالد عملتي خطف طائرتين، الأولى عام 1969 حيث قادة عملية اختطاف طائرة TWA الأمريكية وعلى متنها 116 راكب اسرائيلي، فأمرت مسئول الطائرة بتغيير مسارها لمطار دمشق ونزلت الركاب وفجرت الطيارة وانتهت العملية بنجاح ثم عملية تبادل أسرى.
تفاصيل العملية
أُرسلت جبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين “ليلى خالد” إلى روما تحضيرا للعملية ولدراسة كافة تفاصيل والأماكن، واختيرت ملابسها لتكون سائحة متجولة، فقضت أياما تدرس التفاصيل، وتزور الشوارع مرارا إلى أن حفظت كل شيء.
ثم سافرت مرة أخرى إلى روما في أغسطس 1969 لتنفيذ العملية، وهناك قابلت شريكها في العملية سليم العيساوي، إذ استطاعا إدخال أسلحتهما إلى الطائرة من دون أن يشعر أحد، وحجزا مقعدين في الدرجة الأولى في الطائرة المختارة ليكونا قريبين من غرفة القيادة
وأثناء توزيع الطعام على الركاب، استغل سليم العيساوي انشغال طاقم المضيفين وانتقل إلى غرفة القيادة، آمرًا قائد الطائرة ومساعديه بتنفيذ أوامر القيادة الجديدة للطائرة. ثم أخبر جميع من في الطائرة أنهم الآن تحت إمرة القائدة “شادية أبو غزال” أول شهيدة في الجبهة الشعبية.
أمسكت ليلى خالد بيدها قنبلة يدوية ، وتحركة نحو غرفة القيادة، وهناك أمرا المضيفين وكافة ركاب الدرجة الأولى بالتوجه إلى الدرجة السياحية، ليكون الجميع بعيدين عما يحدث في غرفة القيادة.
وكان دور ليلى خالد في العملية هو التواصل مع قائد الطائرة وبرج المراقبة والسيطرة على غرفة القيادة، وقد ألقت ليلى خطابا سياسيا باللغة الإنجليزية عرفت فيه بالجبهة الشعبية والقضية الفلسطينية، وترجمت إحدى المضيفات الخطاب إلى الفرنسية لأن كثيرا من الركاب كانوا لا يتقنون الإنجليزية.
وطلبت ليلى من قائد الطائرة التوجه إلى مطار اللد هو المطار الدولي الرئيسي في إسرائيل، وهو يقع في الضواحي الشمالية لمدينة اللد، وبمجرد دخول المجال الجوي الإسرائيلي أحاطت بالطائرة المختطفة 3 طائرات مقاتلة إسرائيلية، وكان الاحتلال حينها يخاف من تفجير الطائرة فوق المطار أو فوق إحدى المدن الإسرائيلية.
وطلبت ليلى خالد من الطيار أن يحلق على علوّ منخفض فوق مدينة حيفا إذ كانت تطمح لرؤية وطنها الذي غادرته وهي ابنة 4 سنوات.
ثم أمرته بالتوجه إلى دمشق، وطوال الرحلة تحلت ليلى بالهدوء، وركزت على تنفيذ مهمتها بنجاح، محافظة على سلامة الركاب وطاقم الطائرة، فلم يكن الهدف إلحاق الأذى بأحد، وإنما بهدف تبادل الأسرى وتعريف العالم بالقضية الفلسطينية.
